need help to find out what this is for

I cleaned out my grandpa"s shop today and came across this piece. I assume it was for a Farmall H, but not sure. If it is, where does it hook up at? And is this a rare piece?. As i never seen it in a parts book. The back side looks like it slides in a pto shaft of some type.

Not Farmall

Strange to see a pto pulley that is not right angle. I don't recognize it. Moline Universal used an end mounted pulley. What kind of tractors may have been on the farm back in the 20s?

The first tractor bought for the Farm was in may of 48, a Farmall C. The second tractor was bought in Sept of 48, and it was a farmall H. Before that, they used 3 mules to farm the 120 acres.

Can't speak for the A or C Farmalls but I cannot see how that would ever fit on a B. The pulley on our B is significantly different.

Well i think i know where that came from. I believe my grandpa inherited those pieces along with other stuff when his best friend passed away many years ago, I know Hugh had another tractor, going to assume Ford as he had lots of Ford attchments and along with a fairly new Ford tractor.

ford 8n belt pulley, of course you could make it work on any pto I guess...I have one I been thinking bout using on my H to run the hammer mill, dont wanna use the side one as my pulley is shot,,JIm

Jim, If you want your side pulley redone a place Tenn. called Paper Pulleys Inc. does a darn good job. I had one for my 300 redone. I thing it cost around $100 +/- Their website is http://www.paperpulleys.com/
