Hello folks! I'm new to this board as I am mostly
a Ford N guy. However, I recently purchased a Farmall H. The hydraulic pump came with it uninstalled. It appears to be driven by a short
shaft with an X connection on both ends. This was not included. Are these readily available and if
so where could I buy one. My H is a pretty good runner with few problems.
Aside from the pump problem it has a constant battery drain. I am fairly certain that this is a generator problem. I will have it rebuilt soon. Anyhow any help with the hyd. pump shaft is appreciated. Steve

You can probably get the connecting parts from a salvage yard. Try www.bakersalvage.com
When you say uninstalled, you mean the belly pump was out of the tractor? Or just unhooked? Either way, if it hasn't been attached to the shaft for some years you might want to make sure it'll turn freely first. Hate to crank it up, let the clutch out, and have the whole thing come flying apart.

Thanks fellas. I just bid on the ebay item. The
pump was out of the tractor when I bought it. I
took the top off and everything looked ok so I will put it back in and carefully try it.
