I recently purchased an international 656 tractor. I bought it with a broken spindle bushing. I thought it would be an easy fix. Boy was I wrong! The bushing measures 11 1/2 inches. From top to bottom, including bearing on bottom, is 12 3/4 inches. I guess there were only a very few of these tractors made. Any salvage yard numbers would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try your local Case/IH dealer?I know it's expensive but if it works, you should only have to do the job or have it done once.Chances are good they will find you the part.

On the International (NOT Farmall) 656, I think the front axle is the same as a International 606 or International 460.

That front end should be the same as 756, 856, 1256, 1456 and others if it is a Farmall. If it is an International (standard tread) it should fit with all the standards of the series also.

If you have the utility, I don't have a clue what else would work. Maybe check with a local machine shop about getting it fixed.
