Can anyone out there give me any advice on how to set up a governor for a 1951 Farmall C or let me know where I can get information to tell me how to do this?

If everything is in order there are only three adjustments to made to your governor. The capscrew with the jam nut on top governs your top speed (can be done running). There is a screw under the acorn nut on the bottom that adjusts an internal spring that will take any surging out(adjust with engine stopped). Over-adjusted (too far in) it will push your low idle up so that you don't get the full range of your speed lever back at the seat. You also need to check the rockshaft-to-carb link on the left side. If everything is in good repair, the SuperC Operator's manual covers all this. If you may need to make repairs, the Service Manual for the As and Bs will work (never seen one for a SuperC-dimensions and a few things are different, but the 113 sets up like the 123) or the I&T book IT-8. All three books cover timing, as well.
