I was driving past the neighbors the other day and was looking at some of the tractors he always has setting out by the road for sale...He has a JD 60 WFE with a loader and a JD 50 NFE with a loader and a old crusty beat up 8n...well I happened to notice a dark green tractor sitting by the shed so I had to pull in a and look at what it was since it just didnt look right.. as I got close I realized what it was..Someone had painted a Farmall C dark green,,,Now why would someone paint a perfectly good tractor a ugly green instead of the RED it should be? My opinion is that they muct have been color blind.....Also seen a bright yellow Oliver too though ...Jim

There is a guy in town that owns a roofing business. He has a fleet of newer JD tractors. As soon as he buys them he has them painted red! Some people...

The logo said JANE DEERE.

That was John Deere's dream tractor! Too bad they couldn't make one as good. Somebody had to paint up a Farmall and pretend that John Deere made quality equipment...
Just kidding, not trying to tick anyone off, just thought i'd throw a little humor in.

There's no telling why someone would take a fine old machine, regardless of manufacturer, and paint it some oddball color. I saw on the John Deere Forum recently where there was a JD A? on steel wheels at an amusement park in a few feet of water, and it was painted purple. I myself was southbound from Michigan about 18 months ago on I-69, and north of Indianapolis on the west side of the highway, I saw an old M Farmall painted up in John Deere green and yellow. I did a double take on that, which was probably what I was supposed to do, because it was sitting in front of a business. So the purpose of this paint job was to get me to notice the business. It makes no more sense to me than some of these entertainers that smash guitars during their concerts. Each guitar is a piece of artwork to the one who made it. If they knew it was for the purpose of breaking it, maybe they wouldn't put so much effort into making it. People are funny.
