third party image

This is a picture of my 1942 H that I recently painted and entered in a show in Fayetteville, TN.

The only prize we won was the second place in the "powder puff" race. My daughter drove the tractor in this race. But I had many compliments on the tractor and this makes all the work worth while. Just wanted to share it with you guys!

Ed

That's a very nice looking tractor, Nice paint job and good decal placement. You see so many nice paint jobs just screwed up by poor decal placement, so important to get the model circle placed right and the name decals centered on the hood. One comment--your front tires look oversize and the rears look small. H's really look good with 5.50-16's on the front and 12.4-38's on the back, this gives them a "level look". Years ago I put 6.50-16's on a nearly new H so I could keep from blowing out tires with the loader on, Well it worked, but I hated the up- hill look it gave the tractor and now I notice it a lot on restored H's. Late H's and Super H's came with 5.50-16's and 11-38's from the factory and they looked level with them. JHMO

You are right the tires are 650-16s,I sent the rims out by someone else with instructions not to go any larger than 600,but this is what I had when I got them back.Took a little getting used to but I guess they will have to do.Thanks for your response.ED
