A while back someone had this question about power steering on a 450. It turns fine most of the time but every now and again the assist just stops for a few seconds, and if you turn on it hard it will start up again. A real pain when mowing and raking. The post the other day said something about fixing the priority valve. How do I do that?

Thanks

If it's the factory powersteering, the priority valve is in the bank of hydraulic spool valves under the dash sheetmetal of your 450. It should have a hydraulic line running from it to the powersteering. Its the square block on the left in between the gas tank and hydraulics. Some disassembly required. Sounds like it needs a good cleaning, o-orings, and maybe a check valve spring.
