Last Wednesday I finially got my WD9 home from Texas. It was a bitter sweet occasion, since it came from Shorty Deers place. It was sad to talk with son and wife and know a good man such as Shorty has passed, but happy to see the Old WD9 on it's way home to Washington State. I meet with the fellow hauling it ( Jerry Hennigar ) in Vagus and looked it over and paid him for the haul (which was very fair price ). Now all I have to do is get off the road and start work on it and the other 1945 WD9 I have home. Thanks to Farmer Bob for helping me :-)maybe he will take it up to his place and fix up for me LoL i'd buy the coffee hehehehehehe :-))

Charlie, You know I'd love to help ya out - but, I haven't even been able to start on my 400 yet! I snuck away today to attend our local Clubs show in P. Orchard. Good turn out with lots of tractors. Super C ran good but track was too soft. You must be in OH again!//FB

Good to hear you will have a matched pair Charlie. Remember re-loading the first one up here in Spokane after getting my H off the trailer. That was one heavy dude! Wes Sanborn

Oops sorry about the dbl. post. Red, I was out to your old stomping grounds a couple of weeks ago. Took some of my students out to Fairchild and had ANG show them a KC-135. They were pretty impressed, as was I. As you know the BUFFS have been gone for several years and it's pretty much a tanker facility. Three B2's were here for three weeks in April and it was exciting to see them fly over. Got to see a video of ANG re-fueling them over Alaska, I believe it was. WOW!

If I never see Fairchild AFB again, it will be too soon. :(
