I'm getting a old M, but it's in the field and the rear tires are rotten. I'm looking for some tires
just to tow it home. I have a chance at some 15.5x 38. Are these too wide? The wheels appear
to be stock. That should be 12 inches wide, right?
thanks

I am running 15.5's on my 400. I put these on brand new last fall to replace the 14.9's that were on it. They look and work fine.

Normal size for an M is 13.6 X 38(old size 12x38) with 11 inch wide rims. I think 15.5 would be pretty wide for an 11 inch rim, but others that have used them may have better opinion.

My M has 14.9x38", rear tires and it looks fine....as long as the rims are for the tire size,I would put them on .....they will look great..... .

I just got a nice pair of used 13.6x38s for my M. Haven't put them on yet, but... One has a couple small weather cracks, but is a bunch better than the ones that are on there. The other is darn-near new. It was a friend of my father-in-law, and I was rather compelled to buy. So, I spent $275 for the pair. I don't think I was ripped off too badly.

Sounds like you did fine. Are they on rims?
Here in Maryland you would pay around $300 each new. I paid $150 each for my 14x38 rims from Miller.

I am running 15.5's on my 41' M with 14" rims. They are great. Lots of paw on the ground.
