Is the real IHC Paint good to use? Or should NAPA brand or PPG be used. (I am painting a farmall h) Also does IHC make their own primer and thinner, hardner etc? Also how much does all the paint supplies form IHC cost? Thanks!!

The International paint is very good quality paint and will not fade if you use hardener with it,same as you would with the expensive paints.Just take the International paint to your Napa store and they will give you the hardener to go with it.

What do you plan to use the tractor for? Shows or work. If you are just going to work it, you can slap on a coat of IH paint every few years, but if you are doing a Class A show tractor, PPG or other urathane paint is the way to go. It's my opinion if you go thru gobs of hours of labor prepping the machine, you may as well do it right, and spray on some decent paint, anything less would be just plain wrong.

It all depends on how long you want your paint job to last. The IH paint is good and you can get a really nice paint job out of it. but it will start fadeing in a few years if you leave it out in the weather. The costs will run around $100+
The NAPA paints are very good and will probably out last the IH paint by several years, but will be alot more pricey than the IH paint.
PPG will give you even longer life (I feel)but is very expensive around $300 for the paint, reducer, and primer etc.
I used the IH paint on my H, the first time I used a degreaser to clean up the tractor the paint turned orange, almost an Allis Chalmers orange, I learned my lesson when I had to reshoot the red...don't use a degreaser on that paint.
At least the second paint job came out very glossy
Looks better than it did.
