The time has come where my life has become to complex to maintain/rehab my 42H. You all have given me the advice to keep her working for years. Now for my last question on this board. As noted in the header she is a 42H. Horn loader w/6' snow bucket. 7' matching sickle mower available. One rear tire went flat yesterday. Not running. overheated & died in the field last fall. Engine won't turn. Thanks Weekend

I'm sorry to tell you, but with a stuck engine and flat tire an H won't bring much in my area. A guess would be $200, maybe a little more if the sheet metal is in real good shape.
I don't know how much extra value the loader would add.

Can't really say without seeing a picture, but can show you 2 H's that I bought in January for $400 and $150 respectively. $400 for one with wide front and mid mount mower. $150 for one with narrow front and no accessories. Both stuck engines, one had bad transmission.

A 1951 L-160. Runs great, converted to 12v and we still use it during harvest to haul wheat in from the field. Have to have 3 trucks to keep up with 2 combines, plus one h*** of a truck driver! Other trucks are a 71 Ford 600 and a 62 Ford 600.

Looks like our trusty old '56 S-180 - even to the faded blue paint! We ran it thru the early 80's for the same purposes as you. It also was converted to 12 volt and aside from marginal brakes (vacuum/hydraulic) it ran great.

We have on our farm several Fords, a couple of IH's (pickup and truck) and a few Dodges as well! Not to mention that Case tractor we use too! And, YIKES! there is something green lurking around the farm too! Crazy stuff, huh?
