I like the front just like it is,however my wife has been talking to our #@%#@ neighbor and has her thinking it will roll over. I didn't have 3 boys so I could cut the grass... The B has a 5' Belton mower which is great because we live in Texas. Thanks I know where I can get a B front, I will keep the narrow front for after the kids move out.

Brian, A guy I work with said that the ginsing farmers in Wisconsin convert their Farmall A's to look like a B with a wide front end. They take the left axle casting off of a B and put it on an A. That makes the A look like a B with a wide front. They also take the B drawbar and use it. This makes the tractor more stable on hills. Roger

I guess that would work if they took the both rear axles and the draw bar off the B and put them on the A. I believe your idea would work if you took the left axle off of a BN and the drawbar off a BN.

that wont work as the drivers side axle on a B is not the same as an A the drawbar wont fit the drivers side axle housing on an A is 4in shorter therefore the drawbar will be to wide you can change the front and put an A on a B you can put the front from a b and put on an A also stop telling tall tales about what you heard I have done both ways depending on what someone wants for a mower or something else but you will run into drawbars fitting when you start changing around with axle housings and so forth

The drawbar info is correct, the B's that I have seen in Wisconsin have a wide front that has
been built by someone. They are not fronts from
a Farmall A.

Sure - you could put an A front on the B. Like said earlier the grill and steering shaft might have to come from the A too.

You could put the front end from an A on a B. You would need to use the steering bolster & grill too. I think you would have to do some modification to the steering shaft too.
It would eliminate the ability to mount B implements like cultivators though.

Never came that way from the factory, but I have seen a wide front from an A put on a B - it wasn't pretty.

I'm not sure the way the bolster is set up on a B, but I think it is different from a C so that front end probably wouldn't fit either.

The short answer to your question is "no".

Not sure this would look very good either Steven, put front bolster of C on B. Since steering shaft on C is on right hand side, you could put the operator on oposite side. On second thought would look like H@#$ to, and cost a lot of money.
