Saw these names used for the 2+2 type of tractors.

Around the western KY area we referred to them as Converse Tennis Shoes.

Here in WI. the 2+2's are called either "the GREATEST tractor ever made" or just 2+2. Either way its a tractor design that was way ahead of its time. Right now, all of the tractor OEMS have 2+2 "styled" prototypes they are experimenting with. Seems that if a steerable front axle is added, the tractor turns even tighter than these "wasp waist" and "channel framed" FWA tractors. The 2+2 design has better traction and balance too..... DUH!!!!! !

John Deere guys I know referred to them as "2 minus 2s". Guys that put rear duals on them called them "2 by 4s". Supersnoots, long-noses, sharknoses were some of the names I remember as well. Other names I can't print here!!!

Pardon my ignorance, but I don't even know what a "2+2 type of tractor" is. Any hints?
