What do you guys or ladies feel is a fair price for redoing the brakes on a Farmall 300? I'm just inquiring as to the labor, not to parts or the lathe work on them.
Thank you.

There are no complex parts or special tools required, do it your self! It just come apart. take pictures and clean up the components. New dicks are likely needed. Clean the ball tracks and balls (new balls can be purchased (for the expanders) The only machining would be if the cover, expander, and inside surface are worn dramatically. Then the cover can be machined to allow it to move closer to the tractor casting.
(amount to be determined carefully). There are many Disk Brake entries and photos in the archives. Normally takes 1.5 hrs per side. Sand the metal friction surfaces with 250 grit non directionally. Use a tiny amount of Triflow PTFE dry lube on the pivot points, and splines, do not get it on the disks or friction surfaces. JimN

Jim, in your first paragraph you misspelled disk again, beginning to wonder about you.
