My father in law has an 884 with a TA problem when the TA is in high it seems to slip or not fully engage. At higher rpm the problem seems to go away.Any answers???

Probably a bad seal in the high clutch pack piston. Will probably get worse, it must be a minor leak now if the pump can overcome it now @ higher RPM's (more GPM's). If it is allowed to slip excessively, the plates will get overheated & warp, requiring their replacement which MAY be avoided if the repair is made now. Could also be a pump or valve problem, don't remember if the utilities have a separate TA pump. Would pay to at least pressure test this system to see what's up.

We will have check the things you suggested. It has not been doing this for very long. It is a high use tractor on the farm though, so we don't want it to go too long.
