I have a 49' H and have found a Farmall parts tractor. The Ser# is FBH 227092 but the # on the engine block is FBH 201789. What year is this tractor and will the parts be compatible w/ my 49'? I also found the casing stamp 7-24-P if this helps. The engine has thrown a rod. ( BIG hole in block.) So I don't believe much of that will be usable! Thanks, Tim

The P casting is 1944. Sounds like that tractor has been put together from 3 H's.

Hmmmmm m. Harold I just checked the 45 and it has o's all over it. The 51 has W's all over it, which letters did not get used in between??

1951 was the disconnect. That year they used both U and W. V was reported as skipped. They started over with A in '55 but did some more skipping.

Tim you have a 1946 frame and a 1945 motor. You will have no compatibility problems at all. I happen to own and 45 H (200505) and 46 H (228923).

The electrical may be different between the 2 tractors but that is about it. Email me if you have any more questions. Glad to help.
