Farmall 706 rear wheel adjustment- still having problems

I have a 1967 Farmall 706. I want to widen the rear wheels on the axles. The tractor has the cast iron rear wheels. I have loosened the 7/8 12 point bolt on the axle clamp and I can get the back wedge on the clamp to loosen but not the front wedge. Does the front wedge (where the 7/8 12 point bolt is) loosen up being pushed back or forward? Any other advice to widen these wheels would be helpful.

Thank you in advanced,

You have two types of wheels, on one there are 4 bolts to loosen. On the other there is one or two bolts that pull a wedge into either side of your wheel center, and once that bolt is loose your wedges need to be driven out their respective side of the center. Try turning the wheel a little and drop the tractor, turn, drop. That's how Grandpa got the ones on our 1566 loose.

You need the horseshoe clamps to get both wedges loose. There are 2 horseshoe shaped pieces that go on the inside and outside of the cast held together by 2 bolts. These will hold the wedge that comes loose first so it can break loose the other one.
