I have a 400 with power steering and it doesnt build rated pressure. I think it might be the safty valve spring but iam not sure how to remove it. Any info would be appreciated.

What kind of power-steering do you have? Charlynn or a Belhens unit? CASE/IH has parts for the Belhen unit. Depending on which Charlynn model you have, parts might not be available from Eaton.

Hope this helps a little.

thanks for the reply jmty 47. Ihave a belhen unit on the tractor. I didnt do a good job of explaning my problem though. The power steering works good its the rest of the hydraulics that is weak. I think the problem is in the flow control and regulator block.there is a saftey valve for the power steering that is supposed to maintain pressure in the system but i cant figure out how to access it. the way iunderstand it if this valve is bad the system wont build enough pressure.
