I have looked at several pictures of Cub Farmalls that do not have a muffler- Is this correct for some year models--Just wandering. Thankyou

A muffler was listed as an option for the Super A. Perhaps it was an option for the Cub too. Im sure most folks ordered or added it later since thats the way you see most all of them now.

my 49 had a straight aluminum pipe coming from the manifold when my grandmother bought it from a guy in '63. it was really quiet, so they never bothered to change it.

Brian I have a 63 cub that the exaust go's down low and out the back.I don't have a muffler on mine just straight pipe. It was that way when i got it and was so quiet running i never changed it.Or put on a muffler.

I think Cub Low-boy models have the muffler that turns down and runs under the chassis . ..

Brian, could it be that the cubs have a muffler that goes low and out back instead of the more familiar upright mufflers?....
