A friend of mine just bought an H but is missing the Hood! Is there someplace to get a new replacement hood, or should we just try a wrecking yard? Thanks!!

I've seen a few H hodds on Ebay in the last couple weeks and they weren't in too bad of condition.one sold the other day for around $45.00
but it did have the extra hole in it for a distillate tractor's gas cap. If you buy one make sure it does'nt have the extra hole or you'll have a 21/2 inch hole to fill. but if your's is a distillate fueled tractor you'll need the extra hole.

There are alot of H's around and I would try looking for a used one out of a salvage yard. I have an extra one, but it isn't in the best of shape. I wouldn't be paying alot of money for one either becuase if you take your time looking you will find one reasonable. I don't know what area you are in but in my area you can buy a whole H parts tractor for $275. I bought a runner for $150 and drove it home. But I think the guy needed the money. Tuned it up and I use it all the time.

I have been watching for a hood for my H (cuz mine is beat), and have only found them in salvage and on eBay. They seem reasonable those places, but my Dad just saw them go for $275 at a sale in IN last weekend. There's just no telling.
