I know that this is way off the normal discussion that is held here, and may be rather long.
I don't wish to offend anyone or start a aurgument with any of you. I am posting my regular handel and not some made up fake one.

I work for a state goverment facility and we have been on lockdown since Tuesday. I have watched TV when possiable and have read a lot of things relating to the world events.

It is around 4:20 am on Thursday morning. I guess I must be getting tired and grouchy now, this morning one of our employees made some kind of a remark about how things were done in his country. I asked him what he meant by saying "HIS" country. He replied the name of the country that he was raised in. I remembered that he took the oath to become an Americian citizen about 8 or 9 years ago. I said "well now this is your country, not that other place". He replied that this is not his country nor would it ever be. I then asked him this question; "If the United States were to go to war with what you call your country whom would you fight for"? He replied the other place. That was when I lost all of it totally. I went off on him and told him; "If this is not your country you should just take your butt back to where you came from. I can't stand the likes of people like you living here under our protection".

I am very proud to say that I served my country, and will glady do so again. I was raised by a wonderful set of parents and think that they taught each of their six sons to try to hate no one, and respect others thoughts and opinions. I may have let my parents down in some ways over the years, BUT personally I have alway's had no use for draft dodgers or people claiming to be an American then burn our flag, let alone someone who has taken an oath to be an American citzen say something like he did. It just seems very strange to me that some of these 3rd world countries and the people within them that we have helped in so many ways are the ones that really hate us. Maybe it is time for us to wake up. We should stop providing money, food, etc. to these countries once and for all.

Just let us try to flood their countries with thousands or millions of our people and see how many are allowed on their soil.

Please let us bless the families of the thousands of helpless victms, and all who lost their lives trying to help rescue them.

Please if you are able, give blood, or offer your help in whatever way you can.

Yes "I AM VERY VERY PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN"

Little Bubba

I've had the same feeling as Mr J.D.Humm. Ive never been to New York & have always thought of them to be snobs, & people who never cared about the rest of the States. Now I find Ive been wrong. As Mr Humm says, "They are my fellow citizens". Looks like New York citizens are made up of a whole big bunch of good people from all walks of life. I apologize for my misunderstanding. I know New York has not been a President Bush State, but I feel confident that he and the Congress will seek out and bring to justice the perpetraters of this cowardly crime. I had my turn from 1942 to 1948 & we got Hitler & Mussolini. I just wish I could have another shot at getting these cowards. GOD BLESS AMERICA

What a piece of work!!! I work for the federal government. When I signed on, I took an oath in which I pledged to protect, defend, and cause no harm to the government or the country. I still take that oath very seriously! I have to wonder how that loser would feel if his family members were killed by a terrorist - how fast would he change his tune?!

This piece of work is employed by a state government facility to boot? This comment alone should (at the very least) be grounds for dismissal from a government job (my opinion). Look what we have done by giving preferences in our employment practices. (again my opinion)

whomever this coward is should be forced to witness the devastation first hand at the world trade center. Those people there were totally defenseless against the cowardess attacks, is that what this person believes in, shooting someone in the back. my personal opinion is that we should find out who and where these terrorists originated from, demand there leaders be handed over to us and if they are not, surround the country. then inform them that city by city this country will be destroyed until they are forced to eat the sands they call home. I am not saying that we should joint the rest of the countries that have tried to enter afgan territories, i'm saying we surround the borders let nothing in or out, and systematically destroy all that they believe in from the air. cities, temples, homes if need be, if the country is going to give a refuge to such terrorists then they might start feeling different if they are held responsible for there actions. if not screw them all. I'm not a big fan of giving it to them all at once, make it slow and painful. these terrorists may start thinking different if they new that there families as they new them are being destroyed because of there actions. This country must respond, it must triumph or the world will never be able to feel safe anywhere again. I personally love my home, my country, and my family and would do anything to protect them.

in God we trust.

Bubba: I am glad you did not name the country he was from. It's more a personal choice as wheather one supports us or not. It was just reported by a national TV news anchor that there are 6 ELECTED people in congress from the mid-east countrys. It's is the "inner" personal beliefs that count and not the location of birth. I tend to agree with your comments. This is going to be a long term change in the way we do things in the USA. I hope the leaders focus on long term changes. (I served in the Army.) Ralph

This is the oath your coworker took to get United States Citizenship. Please print this out and give it to him, and post it conspicuously where every one can see it.

"I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the armed forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God."

Amen brothers and lets keep standing proud. I agree that if these foreigners come into this country and gain the benefits accorded with citizenship they should be willing to defend to the death if neccesary their new country. If not either draft them into the service for the most demeaning jobs such as inflight repairman on a cruise missile, or give them a plastic jug and a paddle and drop em in the middle of the ocean.

I agree with you. We need to deport ALL people
in this country that are not U.S. citizens and are
here from hostile middle eastern nations. I hope that a massive U.S. retailitory strike occurs in the next few days. The last time a foreign nation killed US citizens on US soil that nation received two new weapons... atomic bombs. ALL terrorist activity around the world needs to be exterminated!!!, immediately.

Amen. brother. I live in Kansas and have lived here all my life. I always thought New Yorkers were "different" and never really cared much for some of them. But you know what? The attack on New York City and the Pentagon offended me just as much as if they attacked my home town. We are all Americans and these cowards have attacked my fellow citizens. Words cannot describe how I feel about all this. I will never feel the same about people from the east coast again. These people are MY people and God bless them.

Thank you for your message. I'm a New Yorker and proud of it. I live 65 miles from the toppled buildings. We can see the smoke rising from it each day. At least you guys that don't seem to like NY don't have to watch it. I'd would encourage you to come east and visit NY sometime. It would really change your minds. We are just ordinary people and as American as you are.

Amen again! One thing this attack did do is show the world we are all Americans, and in times of need we all stand shoulder to shoulder as one strong country. That coward that Little Bubba mentioned is here living off of our prosperity and under our protection but will refuse to fight for those privileges??? He should be deported!
