I grew up on a family farm and we had a bunch of internationals and farmalls, but the first tractor I owned personally was a super C I bought and fixed up last year when I was twenty. I now have two super C's and I just bought a John Deere M to fix up. I would buy some more but I can't afford it!

My first tractor was my 1943 all fuel H. It was given to me by my grandfather when I was 14 or 15 for cutting fire wood for him for two winters. I grew up on that tractor along with the 400D. When I was 16 I told him I was taking the H to a friend house for a few weeks to give him a hand. I did not take it there however. I took it to the local car restoration shop and worked out a deal with the owner that I would do all the prep work and help him around the shop for a few weeks plus $300 for him to paint it and put the decals on it. I brought it home on his birthday looking fresh off the show room floor and gave it back to him. I had never seen him cry until that day. When I turned 18 I joined the Air Force and left for 6 yrs. While I was gone he got cancer and died. Before he died he sold the 400D which had set in the barn for 10+ yrs and all his equipment. I have since bought the 400D back. I paid to much for it but it means more to me that the money I paid for it. My grandma still has the 340 he bought new and it is for all practical purposes mine. My dad and I bought a 36' F-12 this sping but have not had time to do anything with it. My dad also bought a 450 gas this summer.

I've got a Super M I bought in March of 2000. I've had some problems with it, but once I replace the tires and get it running I'm going to pull it. Good luck on the Super C, and congradulations on joining the Farmall and Super families.

I bought my 45 Farmall H this past spring as a tool, but have gotten hooked deep on restoring it to some of its former glory. Am now maybe on the verge of my second acquisition, with more in mind. No more than 3 (or so), but who knows??

My first one was a '39 Allis-Chalmers RC. I needed a tractor/shredder to mow our acreage with and this was the first one I found that was the right size. Turned out later to be too small/not enough power, but I fixed that with the M. :o)

My first was a Farmall C. It belonged to my grandfather's (mom's dad) brother (he bought it around 1970 and was the second owner) and I had pretty much grown up around it. The C had been ignored for about 5 years and I was finally able to buy it in 1995 ($200). It was still running but needed some work. I still have it.

The first tractor I ever rode on was my grandfather's (dad's dad) Farmall 400. I spent a lot of time on the 400 with my grandfather. The first tractor I ever really drove or did much with (plowing, etc.) was a John Deere B (1948 model).

Red, don't feel bad about that green thing. I just bought a JD M to hopefully get unstuck and fix up and sell so I can buy like a old Ford F600 or F700 flatbed dump truck for the farm. I have all this stuff I want to buy and work on, but I am in college and don't have the money! I am also hindered by the fact that I am from Maryland but am in NC for school. So, my two C's are at home and that John Deere is sitting in a barn waiting for me to get around to foolin with it. John deere's aren't all bad, just most of 'em!!

My first tractor was a Farmall F-20. I bought it the spring I graduated from High School. By now the time I have started Technical College that following fall I have another F-20 and also a F-14, and another F-20 which is a project for the winter months. It needs engine work and a good restoration to get it going again. But first I want to paint the three running tractors I have. Mike

Well, I grew up in Missouri in the 50s. My Dad and Uncle farmed with several Farmalls. My first tractor was a 1949 Super A that I bought in 1976 to mow my 5 acres and do other chores. Used it for 9 years, before I found a 1976 model IH 140 and used that for 10 years. Sold both for more than I paid. I now have 2 Farmalls and 1 IH that are for show and a Kubota that is for work.

My first tractor was a homebuilt , built by my grandfather. Model T engine and tranny, Peerless tranny and rearend, angel iron chassis, tricycle wheels, crank start w/ hotshot batt. and buzz box ignition. Not a great powerhouse, but all that was needed to pull a walk behind plow, small disc, or a walk behind potatoe plow/picker. He used it for many decades to work a large vegetable garden. Eventually the garden got smaller,(always twice what was needed) and a troybuilt became the logical tool. He gave it to me when I must have been about 12. I really didn't have a use for it, but that didn't slow me down one bit. If you didn't set the spark right, the crank would slap your hand into the steel rims of the front wheels. I still have the scars on my right hand. Today it sits in my fathers back yard, if I had a place for it, and a way to transport it, it would be nice to have it just because Grandpa built it.

My first tractor rides were on my uncles knee on a Fordson. He and my grandfather later had a Ford, a Ferguson, and two Case SCs over the years. Somehow I always liked the Farmalls in the area though, and when I retired I found a 1944 H which I enjoy working on and using for rides for the kids in the family..

My first tractor was an oliver 88 that my grandfather had on his farm. He gave it to me when the engine got so worn out it was no longer fo any use to him, that was in 1970, however I never got a chance to do anything with this old oliver, I was in Arizona and the tractor was in Colorado, I joined the navy in 1971 and my grandfather sold the farm while I was gone away in the navy and who knows whatever became of that tractor. I didnot get around to getting the tractor bug again until just this year, when I bought a '48 farmall H which I'm now rebuilding the engine of.

We used a 430 JD on the farm as a kid. My first one I owned was a Case, a '47 SC. It was sold to buy parts for my 1964 Ford Falcon(roller 5.0, nine inch rear, Mustang discs, etc...) Now I fool around with the wife's grandfather's 47 Farmall H.

The '28 Regular I'm working on now.
It was great grandfather's brand new delivered in '29.
I was the one with the gumption to pull it out of the bushes in '99 so its mine by default.
The Super M I used to pull it will hopefully become mine also, probably by default because I don't think anyone else wants it.

Mine is a 1940 Farmall M. Its a nice old tractor and I am having a good time trying to get it going strong again. I bought it just a few weeks before I had to move back into town again for college. I am glad I am close enough to go home and be able to work on it. Went to a tractor pull yesterday and that made me want to work on it even more. I can't put into words how much I would rather be working on that tractor than working on homework. Better get back to it.

My first tractor was a 1967 1206 which I bought in 1972, fresh out of high school. That was followed by a new 1566 black stripe in 1976. I sold that tractor and left the farm in 1985, got a job that actually pays you for your work efforts. Missed Farmall tractors so I bought a Farmall 200 to play around with. Got divorced and had to sell it. Have since remarried, bought 13 acres and a Super C. My new wife decided she wanted a Super C also. After that we bought a Farmall 504 with a 1701 loader to do our "heavy work". She and I have fun playing with our Farmall tractors.

My first experince was with a AC C I remember on the farm in Ohio I could not reach the Pedals but my dad would point me in the direction he wanted me to go then while the tractor was moving he would get off and go around the bailer to the trailer and my mom and him would stack the hay. Last october before my stroke I got the bug and bought a 52 farmall H and prought it home to Tucson From Pa. and in Nov came across a 44 H all fuell about 5 miles from home and oaid to much for it but what is to much to have a piece of History. do to Eye problems now it is real slow going but they will both get done and be better than new.

Grew up on Central Iowa Farmalls, F-30,B,H, Super H, M, and MD. When I retired from the Navy (91) bought an acerage and a very worn M. added a SMTA for a loader tractor, next I bought my father's Last tractor a 49 M and most recently added an H to show off with.
