This is not a Farmall. But it is cool. I saw this rig outside of a Forest Service building at Roanoke Island in North Carolina. Does anyone know what it is used for? It is more of a middle buster than a plow as it turns soil out both sides. Do ya think my Super A would pull it? (ha ha)

If the forest service had/used it, they probably used it to plow fire breaks. Have seen similar, but not so large plows owned by the forest service here in Michigan. They're kept on red trucks, with traditional fire truck lights, etc. ready to go into service where needed.

third party image

Spotted this at a show last summer. According to the description it was originally from California and was used somehow in connection with irrigation work. Plow was hooked to a Cat Diesel 60 when I took this photo.

Here in Colorado it is pretty common for farmers to pull "ditchers" to re-form irrigation ditches in the spring, but they are much (MUCH) smaller than this. They often pull them with an older tractor smaller than their primary tillage tractor. The design of the blade looks pretty similar, so maybe just a bigger version for a similar job.

Cool! Did you ever see the picture of the
guy that welded two Super A together?
They were side by side.. it was something
else to see, I can tell you that.

Thanks for sharing the pic!

I have seen pictures of that double Super A. I would like to see how he grafted the rear end together.
