I am repairing an IH Danco Co. mower deck on my
Super A. Can't get the blade mounting bolts free and have ended up rounding the head on the bolt.I don't want to cut them off if I can avoid it.By
chance could they be threaded in reverse? Is there any company that still carries blades? The deck is about 60" with three blades.Any advise would be
appreciated.

If the mower throws the grass to the left (that is blades turn counterclockwise), then more than likely the blade bolt threads are left hand. If it throws to the right, then the blade bolts will be righthand thread. I'm not familiar with the Danco mower, but this is the normal situation for blade bolts. If you rounded the heads and are using 12 point sockets or box ends, then go get a 6 point socket. Sometimes the 6 point socket will hold when the 12 point or other wrenches will not.

Your Case/IH dealer still makes the blades. Bought a set in the spring.
