On my way back to the farm I saw a Farmall Super C for sale. I am going to call tomorrow and inquire about price, etc. My ?'s...did all Super C's have a straight drawbar or did some have the 'fast hitch?' This one-straight hitch, new rear tires, front good, new paint but-hood and grill doesn't match the rest of the tractor, clean, new battery and hydraulic hoses and tractor has wide front-end. Automobile steering wheel will have to go! Thanks, Al

I called about the tractor this p.m. $2600 firm. The reason the hood and grill (paint-I neglected to mention it was the paint)is the tractor was not completely painted, some parts were finished a year later than others. There is just a drawbar. The new hoses come off the engine block and are not connected to anything. Front tire tread doesn't match. Have serial number and I should check the year of manufacture. I was thinking my dad may have been interested, but not without the fast-hitch. Prices I checked on this site probably have fast hitch? Thanks for the replies. Al

AL: You said hood and grill don't match the rest? Could be a super hood\grill on an older regular C. Better check serial number or better yet , the casting codes. An easy one is under left foot when touching the clutch pedal. Have disk or band brakes? If the engine is up-dated there isn't too much differance between C and super C in getting work done. R.

I have seen Super Cs with both draw bar and fast hitch. One thing confused me, You said it has new hyrdraulic hoses but a straight draw bar. What is the hose's going to. It should also have the touch control.

Show Coverage: Fair Weather Tractor - by Dave M.. No, Fair Weather isn't some rare brand. It's the kind you can't leave out in the rain. Here's how it happened. I had been casually looking for a tractor for weeks. I saw a few 9N's, but they had even fewer amenities than the 8N my Grandpa bought new in '52 with a Dearborn loader. That was 10 years before I was born, so I grew up thinking that 8N was the world's best tractor. Grandpa had greenhouses, with over half an acre under glass, and that 8N did almost everything. It was the only
