I go to a lot of auctions and the 574's still bring pretty good money. Generally at least $5,000 to $6,000. Often, I will see them sell with an all hydraulic loader and bring $9-10,000. They are older, but still new enough to have modern features like power steering, indepedent PTO, factory 3 pt., so they hold their value pretty good. If the clutch and hyraulics are potential problems, I would contact your Case-IH dealer and see how much a new hydraulic pump and clutch would cost. You can then adjust your bid accordingly. Parts can be plenty expensive, so assume the hydraulic pump is bad, rather than just a dirty filter. You can really end up on the short end if you pay too much.

We had one and finally sold it about three years ago. The original hydraulic pump was a problem. Apparently there was a factory change and you have to install an adapter with a new pump and the thing is a headache... other than that it was a great tractor- we literally ran it until it fell apart. With a rusted out hood, leaking coolant and two bad tires, it sold for $1,900
