Just purchased a Super A, not sure of the year as the plate has been painted. Problem that I have is the right Touch-Control lever seems to be frozen or stuck. The left side works fine. What is the best way to deal with this problem?

Like Vern says, disconnect the rods from the levers and see what is stuck. If it is the levers, loosen the tension nut that is on the outside of the lever shaft, use a lot of penetrating oil and work it loose. Then adjust the tension to give the proper amount of resistance. If the problem is in the touch control unit you have a bigger problem.

Disconnect the control rod from the handle and see which end is stuck. If it is the handle then you will just have to work it loose. If it is the lower unit then you have a big problem.

I've had the levers disconnected and the problem is on the Touch-Control unit. What do I have there,, 2 separate small cylinders? Are they independent of each other internally ? If I pull the unit , what will I find is the probable culprit and what type of maintenance can I do to it besides o-rings? possible that the cylinder rod is gummed up, as the lever is in the forward position? I have the parts manual and owners manual ordered, tractor came with a preventive maintenance manual covering Cub, 140,240, 340 series. Touch control for cub and 140 looks like what I've got but it really doesn't address the problem. Thanks for the help.
