My M is running again after 3 months

It's back and stronger than ever, I rebuilt the motor from top to bottom. The head had 7 cracks and the valve seats were gone along with the intakes and to boot I had a blown head gasket and a broken piston skirt, and it would still run how was that for a testment to a Farmall. thanks for all the help fellers.

Congratulations there Jim. I bet she has a sweet bark! My technique is to retorque the head bolts, check valve lash and change oil and FILTER at 2 hours and around 30 hours.

If your tractor is going to be stored for any length of time, a few precautionary measures are helpful in preserving various parts, also in avoiding future difficulty. Store tractor under cover. If impossible to place tractor under cover, be sure to cover air stack and exhaust pipe. Drain radiator and engine block. To avoid gum content collections, drain both fuel tanks and carburetor. Leave radiator and fuel caps slightly loose to protect gaskets. Block tractor up to remove weight from tires and to keep tires from contact with moist floor.
