Has anyone ever rigged up a starter on a 1941 Farmall A? No teeth on the flywheel, no mounts for a starter there anyway. Any ideas or hints would be appreciated.

You need to switch Bell housings if yours don't have the hole for the starter and need ring gear some had place for the gear so you would not need to change fly wheel. I have extra bell housing if you need it. Let me know if I can be of any help?

Don,
I was unable to get your e-mail address from this page. I would like to discuss the bellhousing you have for a Farmall A that you have.

You need to swap your bellhousing for one with the starter hole from a later A or B. Check with a salvage yard. The ring gear is still available to be mounted on your flywheel, costs about $30. You would need to split the tractor to both of these jobs. If you need help with part numbers, etc, get back to me.
