Organic discs are made with asbestos or other fibers including copper wire imbedded in the fiber matrix. they are conventional friction material. They are soft in pedal feel and release/engagement. they wear well and are normal for medium/small tractors. Puck or pad type driven discs are made from ceramic or sintered metal compounds and are placed on Starfish like arms from the hub outward. They wear longer, but also wear into the pressureplate and flywheel more severely. They also tend to be more jerky and less able to ease engagement. I prefer the organic discs except for over 100 horse power tillage tractors. Third Party Image

It is certainly not, but the binding resins and other fibers in the composite material are organic It is not nit the same meaning of organic like Non-GMO corn!! Jim
