Ih 5000 swather

Does anyone know how the front drive wheel comes apart on an ih 5000 swather my large drive sprocket has a large amount of play in it and the chain will not stay on

Best I can do is provide the parts diagram for you. In the link in the Drive Train section, subsection 07-09. They do list a CaseIH 5000 as well. If you think you have a later model then you have to type in 5000 in the search box and it will show that one to select.

I have one a caseih 5000, I had the spline shaft strip and replaced that. Been a few years since I done it but there was a chain tension adj on top I believe. If you get into the top and pull the shift I had to make an attachment for a slide hammer to get the shaft out.
