Need advice on setting Idle screw

So what kind of advice are you looking for? The tube
will bolt to the carb with the tab on the governor shaft
OUT OF POSITION. There have been multiple posts on
this forum of folks having no control of their engine
speed after carb installation on Farmalls. To help make
it easier you can take the two bolts out that hold part
19 to the top of the governor housing, see link. This
will give you more room to make sure you have the tab
in the notch of the ..fat V.. on the carb shaft. I suppose
you can ..by golly.. us all you want to the fact that it is
in correctly but your symptoms point the fact that it
appears to not be because the engine races. There is a
possibility that the throttle plate was not installed at
the correct angle when screwed to the throttle shaft
but I cannot give you an exact outcome of what that
would be like when it is running. I would almost have to
believe that someone with much carb assembly
experience would be able to figure out incorrect
assembly of that fairly easily. The plate has to close
when the fat V sets against the idle stop screw.
I am also linking your previous post you referenced.
