IH 504 Utility Rear Wheel Spacing

I recently traded for an IH 504 utility fixer upper. It had a really good 14.9-28 tire on the right side and a horrible 13.6-28 on the other side. I found a used 14.9-28 locally but my problem is that the tires are a little wide and touch the rear fenders in a couple spots. Is the wheel spacing adjustable on the utility models? Also is it possible to flip the rims and gain space that way? I read somewhere that on the Farmall row crop models there is some adjustment and was wondering if the same is true for the utility models? Thanks for any help and please forgive my ignorance as I am trying to learn.

Hello RA welcome to YT! If your wheels are setup like
these shown in the photo you can change the tread
width as shown. This is from an operators manual for
some other IH utility models. If you have internal
bumps or ribs that the row crop models use with the
cast centers there is also different configurations to
use with those to change widths as well. I believe for
the most part utilities use the stamped steel wheels as
shown in the photo. Sorry it may be sideways had to
turn the phone to enlarge the photo.

them 14.9 tires are too big for the tractor, and did not come with them. best to stick with original size as the 13.6. the rim centres are
separate from the rear rims. so the only way i know to get them wider would be to turn the rim around on the centre . but maybe that wont
work as dont know how you have them mounted now.
