Hi. Does anyone know if the crank and rod bearings in a Super A can be replaced without spliting the tractor? The IT manual says they can be changed from the oil pan but it also says the bottom half of the rear main seal retainer has to come off. Can you get to this with the flywheel on? Thanks for any comments. Daniel.

David,

Here's a couple of pics from my clutch repair.

You may be able to get at the bolts that hold the retainer to the block but I'd wonder if you could get to the 2 bolts that hold the halves together.

Hope the pics help.
