Farmall Cub

Working on a Farmall Cub abused by a past owner. Went to install new pto shaft and found the end of the transmission shaft was mushroomed out so the pto coupler wouldn't slide onto it.
I removed the transmission shaft out the front per the shop manual. This is a model that has a washer on each side of the rear bearing. I had to drive the shaft forward since in was damaged and will need to get new washers.
My question is I see no type of snap ring or grove where one would go to retain the rear bearing and nothing listed in the parts book.

Thank you,
Gary

there two different styles of bearing and transmission cases on yours the back washer "pto shaft side" is like a welch plug and is concaved i took a socket and extention and give the washer a little wack to make it stay in place on the transmission if i remember correctly the bearing will only go up so far. its been a minute or two since ive done this
