Trying to get some info on a couple of Farmall's I bought. One has Super A on it but the S/N doesn't look like it is. the other one has Farmall 100 on the side. The Super A S/N : F.A,A. 106056 The other one IAA 251201

Thanks

What you say is a Super A appears to be a 1944
regular A. On the other Farmall 100 serial numbers do
not go that high even if you mistook the last digit as a
..1.. instead of a J that would denote a Rockford clutch.
They would have had to built more tractors in 56 than
in the other years to get to 25120. If I had to take a
wild guess I think the IAA designation is for an
industrial tractor. In that case you may have a 1948
Industrial Super A with a 100 hood.

Some info in the link.

My 100 has 15 inch wheels and a bigger steering wheel than an A. You can see what your 100 looks like for those items.

The IAA 251201 is an International Industrial "A". That tractor was built in early 1948 (February if I read correctly).

I have a document that says the original Industrial A tractors were the same as a Farmall A except they had a foot accelerator and an adjustable front axle.

I don't have a similar document that states the differences between the Super A and its' Industrial counterpart. I would expect that yours would have the foot throttle and the adjustable front axle, but that is a guess.

Yes it does have a foot accelerator. will have to check on the axel. It also looks bigger and it has a quick hitch.

Thanks
