Hi everyone,
Just wanted to provide an update on the countershaft seal. That nut was not interested in loosing up. Took an old 1/2 shaft and ground it down to fit in the nut slot. It was about 3 foot long and I put my back against the tire and pushed with my feet on the bar while my grandpa pulled on the other side. All that ended up doing was bending the 1/2 shaft! It was tight. Took the torch to it and after 4 times heating the nut and trying it finally broke loose.
Got the nut loose but there was not enough clearance to get it out so had to still end up lowering the hydraulic reservoir a few inches.
Got the replacement seal ordered from O'Reilly's. Supposed to come in tomorrow. The old seal was in pretty rough shape, not surprising that it was leaking.
Thanks for everyone's help,
Noah
