IH 504 Hi Clear remotes

I was looking at the 2000 FEL controls while changing the hydraulic filter, and the rear remotes are plumbed out of the loader controls. Does that render the remotes unusable because of how it is plumbed? I don't see any kind of a lever to go back and forth.

And who is the genius at IH that put a 5/16 pipe plug for the PTO/TA drain? Nice.

We like having the loader tilt on the same valve as the rear remotes. When you needed the rear we would let the bucket droop until there was no pressure on the cylinder and disconnect the hoses at the mid
section. A little bit of a pain but I suppose you could put ball valves by the center but that is asking for more leaks. Usually had another tractor with out a loader and running across rough ground with a
loader on is looking to break something.

That's a great idea... Was thinking about a back up for my bush hog with a cylinder... You have to disconnect both sides right? Thanks

I don't see any "loader controls" in the picture. Only the levers for the rear remotes. Am I missing something?

The 504 has outlets up under the fuel tank for the front mounted cultivators. Is that what you're talking about?

Yes, the outlets at the rear and the front are controlled by the same lever/levers. There is no way to switch back and forth between them. This is a tractor designed in the late 1950's, not some fancy schmancy modern compact with a dedicated joystick valve for the loader leaving three remotes open for your Optimus Prime folding tillage implement in the rear.
