300 Tach cable

Has anyone had any good or bad experience with buying a new complete tach cable from any company who lists them? Part number is 364375R91.

I would think any generic speedometer cable should work just cut to length. Attach ends and be done. Just like the old ones we used to get for cars back when.

I do not think you could jack around much cutting to length etc. for $8.14 even if the shipping is $11, never hear much bad about YT parts here. If you want a metal shielded outside like the original you will need to find another vendor.

I haven't had any issue with the Ebay cables. As a matter of fact - even the cheap tachometers that sell for $25-$35 haven't given me any issues. My 350 has had a cheap India(?) made one for about 8 years and a 700-800 hours and it and the cheapo cable are still working fine. I do make it a point of keeping that tractor dry though.

We just bought a cheap cable and tachometer for my new 460 - 6 hours in and both work fine.

Again - don't think any new one will stand up to being left out in the weather for months on end without rusting the cable solid.
