Dry clutch splines are not the problem if your 3 point
and steering works. Hydraulic pump and PTO drive
from same set of splines and shaft. Low clutch
pressure from the blocked screen may have caused
your PTO clutches to burn out.

Hi, see photo below.
If Oil Cooler Bypass Valve is stuck open or broken spring there will be no oil pressure to PTO spool.
As used red MN said the splines are not worn off the pressure plate/PTO drive shaft or you would have no hydraulics at all as hydraulic pump runs off PTO shaft before the hydraulic PTO clutch that controls the
PTO shaft(s) on the rear of the tractor.

Hi Mich, I remember something a poster said a few years ago about some set screw coming out of one of the control rods in the hydraulic housing causing a similar problem.
At the time I tried looking at the parts book to determine the location of the set screw but could not find it.
The only thing I can think of it is somehow connected to the rod that provides the feed back position of the rockshaft to control the valve that you have to activate to lower the 3pt.
