Location of (W9) OIL Drain location on Auxiliary PULLEY Housing...???

I ran a Jon Deere Model R..the oil drain for the Starting Engine was a Tapered fit drain plug, that allowed the oil to drain into the main Engine Oil Crankcase.

Thanks
Bob..

I am going to put my finger in the fire and say the fill plug just may be for an initial fill of lube so the bearings and gears do not run dry on an initial start after reassembling. The gear case relies on splash lubrication from the transmission gears while in operation. I will say this is true of the Farmall models. I would say the plug you show as the level plug may be for checking backlash in the gear when engaged. There would be no fluid level there because that is open right into the transmission.
