Farmall Waterpump removal

I watched this video and thought it was really neat that the radiator wiggle enough to get the pump out. However went out to mine and the radiator has no wiggle to it. at all. Is there something they loosened and didnt show? TIA

You don't say what model. There are 2 bolts on the bottom of the radiator that have springs on them. Those if loosened up some and the rod to the top may let you wiggle it some. Though the rod at the top would have more to do with being able to tip the radiator forward away from the water pump to get it out. You do have some risk if the pump is stuck at the gasket when it comes loose it could fall into the radiator causing a hole or leak at the very least. I suppose a person could put some pasteboard in front of the radiator to help protect the radiator from the pump some.

Have a longer bolt in one of the holes so it can't fall when it comes loose from the gasket. On a regular M I believe there is a nut you can tighten to tighten the packing on the shaft to seal a leak if that is where it is leaking. Our MD has one. Can't say for sure on a regular gas M. If the bearing is bad then it has to be redone or replaced.
