W6 clutch stuck

I got a W6 that had been sitting awhile. When I push the clutch in it feels like it isn't pushing on anything like it's already depressed, however it won't roll in gear. He said it worked good when used last.

Self destructed throwout bearing or disconnected fork (two bolts), or blown clutch fingers from a bad throwout. Jim

I am in the dark about those McCormicks, they are not accessible through the online parts catalog. Surely they have a plate on the bottom to give some access to the clutch and throw out bearing. It seems like you may have a two fold problem. One being the clutch is not returning to the engaged position ..pedal up.. which means if all is right the clutch should be released and you should be able to roll the tractor in gear, I have to assume ..sitting a while means it is not a running tractor. Maybe the throw out bearing is stuck on its slide. Farmalls had a grease zerk and tube up from the bottom. Secondly, it seems your clutch plate is stuck to the flywheel and or pressure plate. So that is another situation, especially hard to fix without the engine running and not taking it apart. I have heard guys spray brake clean on them and have some luck with that. Maybe some tapping on the pressure plate if you can access it may help. Is that not always the story, worked fine when I parked it 5-10 years ago.

pull the fuel tank, then the clutch cover and have a look in there. i replaced the clutch in our w6 when i was 15 years old.

there is an access plate under the clutch
if it has been sitting a long time it may have a mouse nest in there and the urine rusts everything. take the plate off and have a look, Like Rustred says take the fuel tank, belt pulley gearbox and clutch cover off and you can even change the clutch without splitting the tractor I expect the clutch pressure plate disengaged once but is rusty enough it won't come back and the disc is stuck to the flywheel like Used says
