cub low boy won't start

About 2 weeks ago I tried starting my cub low boy for the first time this year .It turns over but it won't fire up .
I checked for spark on the plugs and getting nothing. It has new points , coil was bad so I got a new coil
but still have no spark. What could be the problem

You say new points - did you just put them in or have they been there for a while. If they have been installed for a while like since last year maybe a film on them that needs cleaning off. Also are we talking battery ignition or a magneto? If its battery ignition is it 6 volts or 12?

Clean the points good chance they have a bit of grease etc. on them to protect them while in the box

You, have a test light? When the points are working correctly a test light connected to the terminal on the side of the distributor should flash on and off as they open and close while turning engine over. Once you get that you are very likely it will run.

I tried the test light like you're saying ,and it blinks on and off when the engine turns over
But still not getting any spark to the plugs .I also tried a different distributor cover
but still no spark and a new rotor

Ok, then check if you have spark out of the coil. Hold coil wire that plugs in the distributor cap about a 3/16 in. from the block and crank it. Should be blue and really should jump about a 1/4 in. What makes you say the original coil was bad?
Edit: Adding are you sure you got a 6 volt coil? How does it crank? Is your battery charged good?
