My Fuel Housing-MD

I cant get my fuel housing to refill,i got plenty of flow from the tank to where it goes into the pump body, the sediment bowl got full, but doesn't come out the bleeder, it just dripped in there, but not a drop out bleeder.I got the bleeders open on top of the filter canisters, it doesn't make sense to me, What do i look for ??

Does fuel come out of the auxiliary filter bleeder with the tractor not running and the fuel tank with plenty of fuel in it?

Take the bleeder completely out. It may be plugged. If not, lightly pressurize the tank. Wrap a rag around the blow nozzle and give it some air. That will usually push the fuel into the canister.

It's got 6 gallons in it,not sure what u mean auxillary filter bleeder, the glass jar, there's a bleeder there, i have had that completley out, no fuel!

Im talking about the right hand steel fuel filter canister, it should bleed out the top without the engine running if it is open. Try this with the bleeder closed on the glass water trap.

With only 6 gallon in the tank you barely have enough to be as high as the top of the filter when assembled and no static pressure to make it flow. You need more fuel in the tank or you need use the rag trick like Delta said. Other wise you will bleed till the cows comahome and still not have it done. If you don't like the air and rag deal then more fuel. I like to have a full tank to bleed filter with more supply and easier to get the fuel to flow through the filters.

Well its worth a try,but it's not going to even idle with whats coming threw it now,the glass jar took 24 hours to fill.At least it is coming out that bleed screw now!

I didn't realize your glass jar didn't fill up normally. Sounds like you need to blow out your lines.

You need to have the fuel level in the tank higher than the auxiliary filter to fill without the engine running, once that come out the bleeder, the best way to fill the water trap jar is to loosen the bottom nut that holds the jar bracket, and tip the bottom of the jar till it fills and then tighten the bracket, and then start engine, loosen the bleeder on the second fuel filter till it sprays fuel, then you can bleed the injectors, all while it's running on gas.
