Hey Fellas,

The Hydrolic Cylinder on my '40 H mounted
cultivators is stuck. After removing the cylinder
from the tractor to investigate, taking it
partially apart, the push rod seems to be frozen
or something. Any ideas on ways to get it unstuck?

Pete

Try using an arbor press to push the rod down into the barrel. then use hydraulic pressure to extend it (low flow) work it a little to get it to loosen up and if it is still tight. The rod could be bent. check the piston and rod seals too.

Good point...it's pushed all the way in and stuck. The hydrolics on the tractor won't seem to budge
it at all....
