Got some more work done on the 1933 F12. Dismantled the radiator, which will need a serious clean and two broken bolts extracted.

I also dismantled the air filter, which has suffered from water in the oil cup and several dents to the body. I have knocked out the worst of the dents.

The steel wool (which I think is called air filter upper screen and air filter intermediate screen) is rusted and breaking up, so I have extracted it from the air filter body. What might be a good replacement? I could use steel wool again, but an air filter foam, which can be removed and cleaned as necessary might be better?

Thanks in advance,

SadFarmall

Thank you! I'll get some new mesh and see how I go fitting it into the filter body.

One time I used stainless steel scouring pads.

I have seen replacement screen for sale. On eBay I think. Try searching there.

Just did this on W-12. We gutted a M filter for the media. Will require a little trimming due to the larger diameter.
