The F-12 finally broke loose after sitting for 50 years. Soaked it for 2 weeks and last night it finally started to turn. It was overhauled shortly before being parked and the sleeves and pistons look in good shape, no rust, etc. so I hopefully won't have to pull the head.
I took the fuel pump off to look a the diaphragm because I am guessing it will be hard as a rock after 50 years. I am having trouble getting the bottom and top halves of the pump to separate to get the the diaphragm. I removed the six screws on top. Does anyone have any ideas getting the top and bottom to separate? I don't want to break anything. Is there a step I am missing?
Thanks,
Noah
