Farmall M Belly Pump

Gents,
I am resealing my belly pump from my M. I have it on the bench and I am having some trouble with disassembly. It seem that the selector for the pump that is sticking through the side of the reservoir body is holding me from separating the pump from the reservoir body. Is there something I am missing? Is there some trick to disconnecting the selector so that I can get this apart?

Looking from rear try pulling the left side out a little ahead of the right. Don't push the selector shaft in or let
it go in when removing. Plate with pump will come out when the right movement is made. Selector shaft has a little lever on the
inside that slips into a hole to operate pump valve body. Usually more fun on reinstalling plate with pump back in.
 
Maybe you got it apart already with the tips from D Slater.

disassembling one. At the 6 minute mark he is pulling the
main pump assembly out. In the second link is his
assembly video. He does not get into the assembly until the 5:30 mark.

My most difficulty was dealing with the weight of the two pieces.
I finally hung the two pieces with heavy cord from the rafters, and then was able to guide the pieces together.
 
Thanks for the help gents. I did get it apart with your advice. It definitely looks like it will be even more trouble reassembling.
