Re: Valve adjustment on my 656 with the d282

I prefer what they call ROOM temp anything above 70 .F and also look close at the end of the rockers for the ware pattern as i call it bridging unless the rocker arms have been dressed . Valve adjustment really has become a lost art and something people never think about . When i was a young pup it was just part of the tune up , that was the first step run the valves then change the plugs and points and readjust the timing and reset carb and recheck timing . I would pull the dist. and do the points on the strobe while checking timing curve and vac advance and i could see if i had points bounce at high RPM and fix that before it went out the door.
